Clang is a new and exciting compiler for C, C++, Objective-C and Objective-C++. Chromium is the open-source project that Google Chrome is based on. For the past three years, we have been putting Clang to use in Chromium as a means of improving developer productivity, finding bugs, enforcing style, doing large-scale refactorings, and more.

This talk is about how you can benefit from using a modern, hackable, open-source compiler in your project, and why you should be excited about it.

Hans Wennborg

Biography: Hans Wennborg

Hans is a software engineer working on the LLVM compiler infrastructure and Chromium browser project. Since joining Google in 2010, Hans has worked on implementing web APIs, improving Javascript performance on ARM devices, and making use of the Clang compiler. He is fascinated by compilers and passionate about building simple, correct and fast software.

Hans has a master's of science in computer science and engineering from Lund University.
